Introduction

Machinery is the foundation of all artificial material that human beings create, and mechanical engineers should constantly think about how machines should be used to contribute to better lives for human beings, rather than being limited to simply thinking about "machines." The Department of Mechanical Engineering aims to cultivate human resources who can comprehend the essence of problems and come up with paths for how to resolve such problems on their own and to contribute to the development of human society by producing many engineers who can support the infrastructure of an advanced technological society.

  • Carry out basic education on mechanical engineering centered on mechanical dynamics, material mechanics, fluid mechanics and thermodynamics in a prioritized manner, together with extensive labs and discussions.
  • Provide broad instruction on the knowledge of cutting-edge mechanical engineering.
  • Promote the cultivation of explanatory and communication abilities so that students can make others effectively understand the results of their own studies.
  • Provide opportunities for students to acquire broad perspectives regarding science as a whole, as the department is part of the Faculty of Science and Technology.
